First Impressions

Outdoor Furniture

  • Our license covers the layout pictured and can be revoked if not set up properly.

  • Outdoor needs swept regularly, furniture wiped after every use, and barriers polished weekly.

  • Putting the furniture together, push on clips from outside ALWAYS and NEVER clip from inside. Please see the video showing the assembly.

Indoor Tables & Chairs

Cake Display

  • Layout depends on bookings, when no bookings we should have 6 separate tables. Tables should be straight and chairs tucked in a tidy manner at all times when not in use.

  • The floor needs to be swept regularly, and furniture wiped PROPERLY after every use (please insure you are cleaning sides and underneath as well). Legs, feet, and screw-in adjusters need DEEP cleaned weekly and reset.

  • Please see the video on setup and alignment.

  • Clean, POLISHED glass.

Fill up the displays, 1 or 2 doesn’t make for an impressive display. Fill up cakes as much as possible.

Clean cake domes daily, clean cake fridge daily (NEVER store cake of biscuit-based items in the fridge unless authorised).

Store GF items ABOVE anything none GF in the cabinet, and not next to each other.

  • Ensure cakes or plates are taken to each other, to avoid fallen crumbs.

Clean cabinets and glass properly. Line baskets (properly on the bottom to help prevent crumbs from falling out). Wipe down the shelves regularly. Ensure cakes and scones are facing the customer, not the back of the counter.

Ensure the worktop is clean and tidy at all times, the customer sees all and walks past for the toilet. Don’t leave items laying about, customers take photos and then put it on and the background can look messy.

Tongs washed after almost every use to prevent cross-contamination, don’t leave them laying about.

  • Please see the video on how to set up, clean, and maintain all cake display items.
